As spring and summer bring back the warmer weather, get out and about and cruise the beautiful twilight Brisbane River while learning about local flying-foxes and the important role they play as pollinators. Wildlife Queensland and Bat Conservation and Rescue Qld’s Batty Boat Cruises have run successfully for many years, and now offer even more tickets to cruise on the spacious MV Mirimar vessel.
Interact with orphaned baby bats on board and watch these cheeky fruit bats wheel out over the river as you enjoy a beverage or snack from the onboard cafe, while the kids enjoy some batty craft-making activities. Then, take in the city lights and sights as the boat glides back to South Brisbane.
This one-of-a-kind experience will delight young and old.
Boarding from 4:45 pm. Boat departs at 5:00 pm and returns at 7:30 pm.
Batty Boat Cruises adheres to a Covid Safe Plan including social distancing, hand sanitising and food preparation.
