Come along to Wildlife Queensland’s Batty Boat Valentine’s Cruise on Sunday 11 February 2024, and learn all about Brisbane’s local flying-fox species and the vital ecosystem services they provide as pollinators.
Enjoy a beverage or snack from the MV Mirimar’s onboard cafe as you soak up the serenity of the Brisbane River at sunset. Listen to ‘batty’ commentary, meet an orphaned baby bat and the Bat Conservation & Rescue QLD volunteers, and watch flying-foxes wheel out of their roosts, heading out for a night’s foraging around our city and surrounds.
This one-of-a-kind experience will delight both young and old – making it a perfect gift for families or nature lovers in your life.
Boarding is at 4:45 pm for a 5:00 pm departure, returning at 7:30 pm.
