Our World in Data

Join Wildlife Queensland Brisbane Branch for lunch, our short AGM and a talk by Emeritus Professor Marc Hockings on the 30 x 30 conservation initiative.

The 30 x 30 initiative seeks to deliver the continued conservation of wildlife through the protection of 30 per cent (%) of terrestrial land and water as well as 30 % of the coast and marine areas for every country on Earth, by 2030.

Included in his responsibilities while at the University of Queensland, Prof Hockings completed a review of the worldwide status of ‘natural’ World Heritage Areas for the United Nations.

Members and non-members are very welcome.

Please RSVP via Eventbrite for AGM and catering purposes.
