Echidna Walk & Talk – Daisy Hill

21 September, 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm

Free
Echidna Walk & Talk

Join Wildlife Queensland’s echidna expert, Dr Kate Dutton-Regester, for a guided educational walk through the Don and Christine Burnett Conservation Area.

This unique habitat is home to grass trees, swamp wallabies, red-necked wallabies, echidnas, and a variety of birds and other wildlife. As we stroll along the scenic Plunkett Mallee Circuit, you’ll learn about echidna ecology and have the chance to spot blossoming Eucalyptus curtisii (Plunkett mallee), a threatened species after which the trail is named. Enjoy plenty of opportunities to observe local wildlife as we walk and talk through this beautiful area.

  • Meeting Time: Meet at 4:00 pm for a 4:15 pm departure.
