Thank you to everybody who supported Wildlife Queensland’s EOFY 2024 Save Our Freshwater Wildlife appeal. Your contribution will help ensure Queensland’s irreplaceable freshwater ecosystems and their extraordinary wildlife are preserved for future generations.
We are excited to announce that, thanks to the incredible generosity of our supporters and an anonymous matching donor, we have raised over $89,000!
Your donations will help:
- Expand cutting-edge eDNA platypus monitoring throughout Queensland.
- Roll out a statewide eDNA biodiversity survey, re-analysing our existing samples.
- Continue to influence governments to prioritise our remarkable freshwater waterways through stronger laws.
- Launch a statewide campaign to educate Queenslanders who don’t know about the catastrophic threat of opera house nets.
