Join Wildlife Queensland Townsville Branch for an outing to explore Townsville’s renowned botanical garden, Palmetum, preceded by a brief AGM.
Covering almost 17 hectares, the Palmetum offers a diverse array of habitats suitable for flora ranging from dry tropics to wet tropical lowlands. Alongside the recreated habitat types, expansive lawns and water features attract numerous bird species.
After our exploration, enjoy a laid-back meal at the cafe and tea room, set amidst Palmetum’s picturesque vistas.
Meeting place & time:
What to bring: Water, snacks (if patronizing the Tea Rooms doesn’t appeal), shoes suitable for walking on potentially wet ground, hat, sunscreen, insect repellent, and bird-watching gear.
More information: Email us if you have any questions.
