Have you seen a Richmond birdwing butterfly? Sadly many people never have.

Remnant colonies of the threatened Richmond birdwing butterfly are small and isolated. This beautiful, unique subtropical butterfly is on the verge of extinction.

There is one special plant the butterfly depends on, without which the butterfly cannot breed. This native vine called Pararistolochia praevenosa, is better known as the birdwing butterfly vine. The solution is simple, we need more of these special vines.

Symbolically ‘adopt’ a Richmond Birdwing Butterfly with a $60 tax-deductible donation. This vital donation helps support our project to strategically plant more vines to strengthen and link corridors of existing butterfly populations and ensure their survival.
