Wildlife Queensland’s Froggy February photo competition is now open, with great prizes up for grabs!

Froggy February Photo Competition

10 February 2023

Wildlife Queensland is calling on all nature lovers and photographers to share their passion for frogs this February and enter Wildlife Queensland’s Froggy February Photo Competition, which runs throughout the month of February 2023.

“Australia is home to over 240 frog species, most of which are unique to the country,” says Wildlife Queensland Policies & Campaigns Manager Des Boyland. “Now is the time to get outdoors and capture the beauty and diversity of our frogs and their environment.”

The competition is available to all individuals in Australia who have a passion for the natural world, regardless of whether they are amateur or professional photographers. The winner and two runner-up entries will be chosen by the renowned Australian photographer, Michael Snedic.

If you’re not sure of the species you’ve snapped, try the FrogID app to help identify your frog friend.

Prizes will be awarded for the best photos, with the total prize pool, including prizes for the winning entry and two runners-up prizes, exceeding AUD$500 in value. The winning entries will also be featured in Wildlife Queensland’s wildlife and nature magazine, Wildlife Australia.

For full details, terms and conditions, and to upload your photo entries, go to https://wildlife.org.au/froggy-february-photo-competition/ from 1 February 2023.

We can’t wait to see your Froggy photos!
