Whether you’re a seasoned naturalist or a curious beginner, join Wildlife Queensland for a hands-on workshop. Experts will guide you through how to install fauna cameras, sharing tips and tricks for positioning and securing cameras to capture the best wildlife footage.

The event will dive into the world of monitoring and recording wildlife observations through iNaturalist. Learn how to analyse and upload the data collected from fauna cameras, turning your observations into valuable data for conservation efforts.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION BEFORE YOU REGISTER:

  • This event is designed for adults and families.
  • Recommended for ages 12 years and older with parent/guardian supervision.
  • This is an outdoor event in a bushland environment with uneven surfaces and unsealed tracks. Participants must be physically able to stand and walk through a park for up to 2 hours – moderate fitness required.
  • You must register and secure a ticket for all people attending. Spaces are limited – each session is set to a maximum capacity.
  • Detailed event information will be sent to the email address provided upon registering.

INFORMATION FOR THE DAY OF THE EVENT:

  • Please arrive 15 minutes before the start of the event to check-in.
  • Please wear fully enclosed shoes, sun-smart clothing, hat and sunscreen. Bring along drinking water, insect repellent and a camera or mobile phone for pictures.
  • This event may be cancelled or postponed if the weather conditions aren’t suitable. We will notify you via text and email no later than 1 hour prior to the start of the event.
