Join Matt Cecil from Wildlife Queensland’s Richmond Birdwing Conversation Network for a workshop at beautiful West Village, Brisbane to learn all about the vulnerable Richmond birdwing butterfly and take home your very own vine to plant at home.

Matt will equip you with the knowledge and tools needed to successfully introduce this species into your home and will share his expertise on butterfly conservation, habitat protection and other best practices that can help save these gorgeous creatures from decline.

At the end of the session, you’ll walk away with useful tips on creating a welcoming environment for the birdwing butterfly vine. Plus, you’ll have an amazing opportunity to get up close and personal with these wonderful insects!

About the Richmond birdwing butterfly initiative at West Village, Brisbane:

The Richmond Birdwing Butterfly is the largest sub-tropical butterfly in Australia and is now a threatened species. Wildlife Queensland has been working with West Village to help restore the population of this beautiful butterfly in our city by growing their favourite food, the birdwing butterfly vine, throughout West Village.
