Commercial Tourism in National Parks Forum

As the Australian federal and the Queensland state governments continue to actively open up and seek private commercial tourism development in our protected areas, we explore the impacts, issues, benefits and management implications. This forum builds on the successful public forum hosted in 2021.
Wildlife Queensland’s President Peter Ogilvie will be speaking at 1 pm on 4 June. Peter will give a unique perspective on the purpose of national parks, the place of tourism and the Nature Conservation Act designed to protect our unique flora and fauna.
Joining him is Dr Ronda Green, an adjunct research fellow at Griffith University and chair of the Scenic Rim WIldlife and Wildlife Tourism Australia Inc.
