It’s time to fall in love with the adorable ‘sky puppies’ that pollinate our native plants.
Bring your loved one/s to our Valentine’s Batty Boat cruise on Sunday 12 February 2023 and learn all about Brisbane’s local flying-fox species and the vital ecosystem services they provide as pollinators.
Wildlife Queensland and Bat Conservation and Rescue Qld’s Batty Boat Cruises have drawn crowds of wildlife lovers to their events for years. Now, they offer even more tickets and space to cruise aboard the MV Mirimar vessel.
Enjoy a beverage or snack from the onboard cafe as you soak up the romance of the Brisbane River at sunset, meet adorable orphaned baby batties, listen to ‘batty’ commentary, and watch flying-foxes wheel out of their roosts and head out for a night’s foraging around our city and surrounds.
This one-of-a-kind experience will delight young and old – and it makes a perfect gift for families or nature lovers in your life.
Boarding is at 4:45 pm for a 5:00 pm departure, returning at 7:30 pm.
