Join us on 7 September, National Threatened Species Day, for our special Giving Day—help us reach our $50,000 goal!
Queensland is home to over 50% of Australia’s native species, including many unique and threatened small wildlife like the silver-headed antechinus, long-nosed potoroo and yakka skink. Sadly, over 1,000 Australian species are currently on the threatened species list, with many found only in Queensland. Habitat loss is one of the greatest threats these animals face, pushing them closer to extinction every day.
On National Threatened Species Day (7 September), Wildlife Queensland is launching a 24-hour Giving Day dedicated to raising vital funds for the conservation of Queensland’s vulnerable small wildlife and their habitats. Our goal is to raise $50,000 to support essential conservation efforts. This is a unique opportunity for our community to unite and make a significant impact on the future of Queensland’s threatened species.
Why your support matters
Over the past year, thanks to supporters like you, Wildlife Queensland has remained steadfast in its mission to protect and conserve our state’s precious native wildlife. With your help, we’ve raised awareness of critical wildlife issues, organised impactful events, advocated for stronger environmental protections, and spearheaded conservation projects that directly benefit threatened species. The continued success of these efforts relies on the ongoing dedication of our valued supporters.
