Support wildlife conservation and learn about our amazing flying foxes on a unique Batty Boat Cruise this December.
Wildlife Queensland’s popular December Batty Boat Cruise is back and it’s the perfect way to celebrate the festive season with friends or family.
Departing from the Cultural Centre Pontoon in South Brisbane on Sunday, 6 December at 5.15 pm, the boat will travel along the Brisbane River to Norman Creek in time to watch the sunset and roosting flying foxes fly out over the river.
Relax back with a drink from the bar, order something delicious from the café, and enjoy the spacious fully covered decks and comfortable indoor dining area on our two-level boutique-style vessel.
Learn about the history of Brisbane as you listen to live commentary from the knowledgeable crew and take in the city sights and lights.
Big and little kids alike will love our fun Christmas craft-making activity, souvenirs and prizes, and thanks to our friends at Bat Conservation and Rescue Qld, you will get to meet an adorable orphaned baby flying fox on board and learn about this amazing species.
This fun, educational cruise runs for approximately 2.5 hours and is suitable for all ages.
Batty Boat Cruises adheres to a COVID-safe plan. Our December 2020 cruise will operate at half capacity, with a maximum of 40 passengers. Social distancing rules will be in place and hand sanitiser supplied.
