Wildlife Queensland’s Batty Boat Valentine’s Day Cruise on 14 February was a big hit, with passengers receiving a special Valentine’s Day choc and raffle prizes awarded to four excited winners.
Sweet little Millie the orphaned baby black flying fox couldn’t get enough of our January Batty Boat Cruise and was back again to greet our excited passengers on our Valentine’s Day cruise. Millie, now 11 weeks old, was in the wonderful care of volunteers from Bat Conservation & Rescue QLD.
Passengers witnessed an early flying fox flyout and romantic sunset over the Brisbane River, as Wildlife Queensland volunteer and Batty Boat Cruise host Jo Towsey provided fascinating insights into the flying fox species and the vital role they play in our ecosystem.
Then, it was time for Batty Boat to make a leisurely trip back to Brisbane, as passengers enjoyed a glass or two of bubbly from the well-stocked bar on board, and took in the breathtaking beauty of Brisbane’s city lights from the spacious fully covered decks and comfortable indoor dining area.
