Peaks to Points Festival

A two week program of events celebrating the diverse natural environment of greater Brisbane’s southern region, from the dramatic heights of Flinders Peak near Ipswich, to the tranquil waters of Moreton Bay. The Festival showcases the activities of local community and environmental groups that are working to improve the environment.

Wildlife Expo

Join Scenic Rim Branch and meet quolls, cockatoos, bettongs, and other animal neighbours of the Scenic Rim. Watch wildlife artists at work, learn about wildlife conservation, meet wildlife carers, find out where to see wildlife and how to identify species.

Scenic Rim Wildlife Amateur Photographic Competition

Run in conjunction with Scenic Rim Wildlife Expo. Two open categories and two categories for children under 12 years – free to enter. Entries displayed at Arts and Information Centre.

National Tree Day Walk

Join WPSQ Bayside branch on a walk along the Thorneside to Aquatic Paradise foreshore to observe the foreshore vegetation and wildlife.

Wild Logan

Join Logan City Council and see if you can spot some of the many native animals that live in Logan. Includes a live wildlife show, a bird walk hosted by BrisBOCA, a waterbugs activity, tree planting, environmental information stalls and a free sausage sizzle.

PlatypusWatch Workshop and Survey at Wolston Creek.

Catchment Join platypus expert Anna Muscat to learn all about this enigmatic species, followed by a survey along Wolston Creek, where you may spot a platypus!

Wildlife Land Fund Campout

Interested in heading north, and visiting the Wildlife Land Fund Ltd's Bukkulla Conservation Reserve near Marlborough, north of Rockhampton.

The well-appointed and peaceful campsite is accessible by conventional vehicles.
